...In The Name Of Living

鵠 (Kugui)
Mioko was born in a small house of a puppet master in Kyoto(京都市) back in the beginning of XX century. She was tiny little girl with long ebony hair and wore a blood red kimono (着物) One day master made her a wagasa (和傘)1 and since that day she has never parted with it.

Mioko was spending her days by traveling around shelves, full of books, albums and other toys and puppets. Sometimes she was sitting on the master’s desk and watching him work.

She was his favorite one. His masterpiece. He has declined a hundreds offers for selling her. Even if Emperor himself asked puppet master to sell her, he would refuse him too.

Mioko also didn’t want to leave her house. And she was very upset every time, when another one child tearfully asked its mother to buy Mioko. Why doesn’t anybody ask about her opinion? What about her feelings? Her heart and soul? It was so unfair…

Mioko is a doll, which consider herself as a human. And she began her difficult path to prove it…

P.S. Special thanks to , Sukekiyo and Dir En Grey for inspiration.
